It was a great privilage to work with Dan since 1974 unitl 2000 as an assistant engineer in Bahrain. I always consider him as my best friend more than a boss. When Dan started his first project in Sitra I was the first field engineer assigned to work with. During this period of time I found him very friendly and cheerful person. His attitude lifted me in to an higher level. I always remember him as my best friend. I missed him a lot. May his soul rest in peace.

It was a great honour for me to meet Dan in Bahrain. As often as I came to Bahrain, asking Dan for a meeting, he always said: ok,ok. I remember his great knowledge of all the big dredging projects in Bahrain and his reputation as a dredging expert in the whole area.
I will miss very much his smile and his great humour. Dan was a friend to me.

I really heart on receiving the news about S.Dan Joensen passing away I had great time working with him and I learned that it is never too late to give, God bless his soul. My warmest condolences to his family.

It is a great loss, Dan was active in marine protection issue. He loves Bahrain and Bahrain loves him. I worked with him within the marine enviornment group in preparing for Bahrain's National Enviornment Strategic Plan. We will always remember him and his effort in this regard.

My heartfelt sympathies on the sad demise of Dan Joensen. I knew Mr. Dan for the past 9 years. I really miss him he came to our office on 9th January 2008 and talk to me and said he had been to Denmark and had nice holidays. He is always a lively person. Once again my heartfelt sympathies. May his soul rest in peace.

The news of Dan's death was receieved with considerable sorrow by me personally and all his colleagues in the Northshore Team.
Dan was not just a consummate professional, he was a great character, a friend and one of life's genuinely nice people.
He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by us all.

Jeg havde den glaede at moede din mand jeres far og farfar, til den danske julefrokost sidste aar her i Bahrain.
Han var glad og frisk lige kommet tilbage til Bahrain.
Vi talte om hans arbejde og om Bahrain og alle de aendringer der jo er sket op gennem tiden.
Det var dejligt og interessant at hoere ham fortaelle og tale med ham og jeg er meget glad for jeg fik den chancen at moede ham.
Maa han hvile i fred.
